At UP Town Center, pets are just as important as their humans.
Are you a dog lover? A frustrated dog parent? At the least, do you fall prey to hours of watching YouTube’s cute dog universe?
To those whose hearts go weak with the sight of man’s certified bestest, most loyal friend, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
At the open space in front of Penshoppe and Chili’s at UP Town Center lies BarkYard, the mall’s official dog park.
In this enclosed yet vast area, customers can freely bond their dogs and let them play with their furry kind, with separate pods for small dogs and medium to big dogs.
Set up in 2018, BarkYard was created to allow both mall-goers and their pets to enjoy and share activities in a mall setting.
UP Town Center is one of the increasing number of pet-friendly establishments in the city, who believes that pet-loving families and individuals can best enjoy their mall time if they can share the moment with their furry friends, instead of having to leave them at home.
At BarkYard, dogs can run, play, be trained, exercise and roam the mall with their humans as long as they have a UPTC Pet I.D., which can easily be availed at the mall concierge by submitting recent vaccination records and a 1×1 picture of their pet.
From here, pet play dates, mall bonding activities and even pet-centered activations can be enjoyed, such as this year’s Paws N’ Play, UPTC’s pet month—now on its second year, running from September 6 to 29.
From talks by renowned veterinarians, a pet gear sale, and even a dedication wall for BarkYard’s most loyal pets, Paws N’ Play will be a treat for humans and their gang of furry friends.
See the poster below for the full list of activities:
BarkYard UPTC is located Phase 2 of UP Town Center. It will be closed for renovation from September 16-30 and will resume normal park operations on October 1.
In the meantime, humans and their beloved pets can enjoy Paws N’ Play in specific activity centers stated in the calendar.
